About Sound and Vision:
The link between live music and film is as old as cinema itself.
And yet: it's fresher than ever! In the scope of Sound & Vision, 9 bands and musicians meet 9 short films, drawn from the festival program and beyond. The catch: each artist or band has intentionally avoided hearing their respective film's original soundtrack – in just a few short weeks, they have each composed a new score for their assigned work, to be performed here live, accompanying the film. In an intense, immersive live show featuring phenomenal sound and the Volksbühne's epic screen, these visually striking short films will be imaginatively re-scored. An absolute treat for eyes and ears, highly recommended!
