About:
Anahita Sadighi was born in Tehran in 1988 and grew up in Berlin. She is a gallerist, curator, and cultural practitioner. She studied piano at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, Cultural Studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), and Islamic Art and Architecture at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
In her work as a gallerist and curator, she uniquely brings together historical and contemporary perspectives, creating a multifaceted dialogue between different media, eras, and cultures. She is particularly committed to bringing underrepresented topics into greater visibility and promoting a contemporary understanding of art and cultural history.
Through the cultural platform Poetry Nights Berlin, she presents authors from Persian- and Arabic-speaking regions. She is also active as a lecturer and writer on diversity, equality, and intercultural exchange. Her large-scale installation of Persian amphorae at Kantgaragen Berlin attracted considerable attention and supported Iran’s Woman, Life, Freedomwomen’s rights movement.
